In addition to Nick Egoroff resigning this past week as Communications Director of the Florida Tea Party political party, the following candidates have also abandoned it:

Stephen Taylor withdrew from the race for Florida State Representative for the 11th District

Ryan Swyers withdrew from the race for Florida State Representative for the 91st District

John Ferentinos failed to qualify for the race for Florida State Senator for the 26th District

Marshall Louis DeRosa failed to qualify for the race for Florida State Senator for the 30th District

The Florida Tea Party political party received letters from the State Elections Office that they have until today (7/5/2010) close of business to supply alternate candidates (and filing money) in order to fill the positions abandoned by Stephen Taylor and Ryan Swyers.

There are other irregularities with their candidates as well.

Jon Foley (their candidate for State Representative, 41st District) lists Fred O’Neal’s address as his address as well.

I read that two of their candidates are using the exact same bank account for their campaign finances. That would sure make an audit tough… LOL!

And of course as the article at the link I provided shows, James Ferentinos and Marshall Louis DeRosa failed to qualify because they (or their attorney, likely Fred O’Neal) didn’t think the state was serious when the forms indicated the required fields and they thought they could just skip by those fields.
